Auteur Watch - Jamal Hill

Still foundering, writer-director and all around Renaissance-type man Jamal Hill is enjoying a little bit of success in Hollywood.  The most exciting time of his life was clearly in 2007 and 2008, when he rubbed elbows with Will Smith and the Marvel (TM) (C) (R) universe.  Of course, Marvel (C) (TM) (R) wasn't quite as corporate back then, but still pretty darn corporate!  Yes, Hill's days of climbing the mountain, getting coffee for tempestuous movie stars and union heads, are long gone, a mere speck in the rear view mirror now.  But it gets lonely at the top!  I mean, put yourself in his place.  You're invited to the big DreamWorks Oscar (TM) (R) (C) party.  How do you introduce yourself?  Do you say you just finished directing "Coins for Christmas"?  Or do you tell people you did sh... stuff on Iron Man 1?  Discuss...
