Auteur Watch - James Brown

Of course, when you're talking about people named James Brown in showbiz, one would be remiss if they failed to mention this one or this one or this one or this one or that one or... not that one.  And I suppose one would be further remiss to not mention this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or this one or that one or even this one... figures.  Well, that's bad timing for ya.  I would have to pick the wrong holiday to profile that one.
And I suppose we have to take this one into account, as well as this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and ... hmm!  Any chance that that one's actually the Godfather of Soul?  Guess we'll never know.  Anyway, back to the James Browns, like this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one (the best one, BTW) and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and this one and that one and... oops!  Should've put on the brakes a little harder there.  That's what I get for going too fast.  And on top of all of that, I forgot THIS James Brown!  Whelp, he's got a Bio and a mug shot... but as of this writing, no credits to speak of.  Almost makes me want to pay for IMDb Pro... almost.  And even more on top of that, I forgot all about this other James Brown.  Not a director, but just about every other craft that a director relies upon!  Keep aiming for that rainbow.
So I guess the next question is, well, how about a James Brown with a douche-y... I mean, a wonderful, hard-earned nickname?  I'm sure each one has a story to tell.  Like how about James 'B-Tip' Brown or James 'Buster' Brown or James 'Skip' Brown or James 'Trip' Brown... oh, PLEASE tell me those two have worked together!  ...eh, close enough.  And finally, let's not forget the most salacious one of all, James 'Texas Blood' Brown.  Boy, he must've really a-holed his way out of the biz, and quick.  Guess the wrong person asked him about his nickname.
But enough negativity.  On to the next question to be posed.  What do him, him, him, him and him all have in common?  That's right!  They're all the same guy!  Again, the IMDb is engaging in database errors, but understandable with a high-profile celebrity like him.  Makes me wonder, though, about some of these other, lower-profile James Browns.  I mean, how many cinematographers and sound technicians ARE there named James Brown already?  No repeats at all?  Reminds me: time to check on our old friend, John Hyland... yup!  Still barely getting work astride two centuries.  Anyway, what do this guy and that guy have in common?  YES!!!!  Same guy.  Fun fact: as of this writing, in his IMDb Top 4 are the three things he's worked on!  Always nice when things work out like that.
Okay, back to the grindstone.  So what do this one and that one have in common?  Yup, same guy.  Just like this one and this one; no joke.  And this one and this one are the same.  And this one and this one are the same.  Ooh!  He's the new Billy Drago!  Here's his second entry.  And this one and that one point to the same guy.
Now here's an interesting case of the two James Browns, but I think the IMDb's database experts just might be able to untangle it, should they choose to accept the mission.  This one and this one are separate; disparate, if you will.  The second one doesn't point to the first, but maybe you guys could take the first one, and make the guy guitarist AND composer!  I hate to be a back seat database driver and all.  Ooh!  Which reminds me.  Don't forget to book your tickets now to PASS Summit 2020.  Take a sneak peek at what you can expect at PASS Summit 2020: We'll be covering the latest in Architecture.  Cloud and Hybrid Data Architecture!  Containers and Other Infrastructure Considerations!  The Modern Data Platform!  Architecting for Scale!  Perhaps Analytics is your bag!  Microsoft Power BI!  Azure Synapse Analytics!  Data Visualization, Storytelling!  Machine Learning!  Artificial Intelligence!  Data Management?  We got you covered!  T-SQL Programming!  Query Analysis, Optimization, and Tuning!  PowerShell for the DBA!  Performance Monitoring and Tuning!  And last but not least, boring old Professional Development!  Technical Leadership!  Communications!  How to keep your Ears from Burning!  Because they SO will when you're in Communications or Leadership, Technical or Otherwise.  PASS Summit 2020!  It's everywhere, you wannabe... I mean, it's everywhere you wanna be.
Okay, back to work.  Ooh!  Thank God, I think I found two of them.  Which begs the question: what do this guy and this guy have in common?  That's RIGHT!  They're THE SAME GUY!!!  Now, I know, you're thinking that Assistant Directors don't count.  Well, let me tell you in the strictest of confidences: on that particular set he did!  He kept the crew from ripping itself to pieces, he kept the cast from getting too antsy in their pants-y... wotta nightmare.  Okay, I think I might have overdid it on this one.  Gotta run!
