Well, this one should be easy! It was 1990 and, for me personally, Danny Glover was riding high from Lethal Weapon 2 and to have a followup role like To Sleep with Anger was a surprise for me. Well, I was young and easily impressed... I mean, shocked. Whichever has the better connotation. Anyway, for writer director and all-around n-tuple threat Charles Burnett, Danny Glover's your link to Spielberg, should you decide to follow that path. Star of The Color Purple and many others... but that was the only one with Spielberg.
This is how unhip I am! He's already trying! Check it out... Burnett's latest is called 83 Days starring... who else? Danny Glover!!! Jolly good show.
